Six people are trapped aboard a train that shouldn’t exist. As ghostly passengers roam the cars, buried truths surface—uncover mysteries, solve puzzles and escape the train.

STORY

18 year old Natsuno returns to his hometown of Moriyama Village, to attend a class reunion from his middle school days. There he reunites with his childhood friends that he grew up with: the quiet Dorian, school crush of all boys- Ami, the easy-going Toshio and the not-so-small-anymore Ken.

After reluctantly downing several alcoholic beverages, the now intoxicated Natsuno is forced to board a train back to his current residence.Waiting for him at the Moriyama Train Station is his best friend Mika, who lives in the same city as Natsuno. Mika and Natsuno have known each other since childhood, her being 2 years older, he has always seen her as something akin to an older sister.They are soon joined by Dorian, Ami, Toshio and Ken who also decide to take a train back to the city, due to no available taxi service.As they hear the distant sounds of a rhythmic engine and rolling wheels, a train emerges. Moriyama is a one way destination, so surely this train must go back towards the main city.However, when they board the train, they soon realise that they may have made a grave mistake...

Hello, my name is Han (hanillust) and this marks the first entry to my solo dev journey for Shishido Train 44! Yippiee!First and foremost, thank you for showing interest in this small project of mine!
I've been an avid horror RPG and visual novel fan since I can remember and it has always been a dream of mine to create my own game one day. I never got to doing it as I didn't have a PC until July of 2025 but I've been blessed enough to have acquired a PC second-hand, for virtually no price, from my really close friend (who is very very supportive of my game development might I add- HI ANNIEE)

I am in no way a professional game developer, artist or programmer!! But what I do have is a lot of ambition and fun at creation. My goal is to craft a game that people with tastes similar to mine will enjoy.Some favourite games of mine include works like Zero Escape by Kotaro Uchikoshi, the Umineko and Higurashi series by 07thExpansion and LUX-PAIN by Killaware.

As I am working on this solo aka creating all artworks, scripting the story, doing the game dev and coding, I can't fully be certain when I will finish due to me also having a full-time job in real life but I wanna be optimistic and say the demo should release sometime late 2026 to 2027!!
